Taxation

We have been working as tax specialists and tax advisors since 20 years. Our professionals can guide you right towards the best tax planning you require to maximise your business potential.

Malta’s attractive tax system makes it a favourite jurisdiction to setup new businesses. Malta’s tax legislation provides a number of incentives to shareholders of Maltese companies deriving income from their investments and/or trading activities.

One of the main advantages to a Maltese company is the full imputation system. Under this system dividends paid by a company resident in Malta carry a tax credit equal to the tax paid by the company on the profits out of which the dividends are paid. Shareholders are taxed on the gross dividend at the personal rates but are entitled to deduct the tax credit attaching to the dividend against their total income tax liability. Recipients of dividends may elect for a refund of the Malta tax paid by the company.

Companies registered in Malta may benefit from Tax Refund System, Participation exemption and double taxation relief.
In conjunction with the above, we provide you following services:

– Consultancy in relation to Maltese Income Tax and VAT legislation. Tax planning in conjunction with international aspects and in collaboration with non-resident legal and tax experts.

– Preparation of personal and Company tax declarations annually.

– Professional representation with the Malta Tax Authority as well as with the VAT department are available in case of tax audits and investigations. Representation with the Administrative Tax Tribunals is also available.
